Kate is officially my favorite waitress in town!

I just told Lucia yesterday, if I were to name ONE reason to stay in Melbourne forever, it will be... the loyal skinny latte. However, today I have to restate my statement.

It will have to be Kate, the waitress from Three bags full! She remembered my name and sent me the exactly the same cheesecake I ordered last week! Really, nothing is better than this on a sick night. Perfect sweet treat, Spanish study + lots of love (except poor cake got smashed a lil by the delivery man)

Pictures from last week at Three Bags Full:

I can hardly say Three Bags Full have the best breakfast because Melbourne simply has TOO MANY good cafes with 5 stars+ food. However, Three Bags Full certainly has the award-winning service - it's Kate!

1 month's gone, only 5 months left

This is exactly what's on my mind when I woke up this morning.

l got to Mel on Jan 9, on paper my remaining time here will be less than 5 months
= 21 weeks (or weekends)
= roughly 41 days to explore the city, cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs in Mel, and most importantly, the people

41! that's it? The number doesn't sound right, I'm already sad:(
Never get this feeling with other places I lived before (at least not this early).
Maybe I've finally found MY city? don't know yet, but I got 5 more months to figure this out.
You're beautiful, Mel. Can't find a reason to leave you.
With that said, at this point of my life, I got all the strength and freedom to go and stay everywhere I prefer. Really I've nothing to complain. Simply grateful and happy.

German/ Aussie vs American English joke

Here is a joke of the day (or Monday, or Valentines Day).

German colleague asked sweetly "What did u do on da weekend?:)"
I said "Oh I tried ta pick up cooking..."

Suddenly her eyes enlarged two times, looking shocked. She hurried to my side and whispered "You can't say it here!" (she thought she was whispering but it was quite loud.. and with heavy German accent)
I was clueless, "UH?!"

Two sec later, another German guy next to us bursted out laughing. And we both looked at him, with twenty question marks above our heads, seeking for an outsider's explanation.
Guess what? Turned out she thought I said "COCAINE"
Yeaaa, righttttttt -___-!!! LOL

However, I adore how she said "you can't say it here" instead of "Shit! I can't believe you"  (i.e. we can talk about this after work) Not like I'd need extra help to get me high, but this girl is gonna rock!!! I like! <3

We entered the new decade in Asia Sin City - Macau

It's almost end of Jan now. As I have now already moved to Melbourne, jus wanna catch up with the news three weeks ago.

Dec 31, 2010 into Jan 1, 2011
The best new year so far. Finally all family members are together. We spent it fabulously in Macau. Dad gave everyone new year money to gamble (not very Ho's style - business families don't gamble) But it was fun! Dad, tim, and I all won some. The family made a surplus as a whole - Team Work right there.
The guaranteed blow-you-away show - House of Dancing Water. Highly recommend!
Count down at Grand Hyatt.
For wine lovers
Our new year bonus, lol!
Family Greeting! Happy 2011!

Apps for Blogger?

Jan 22, 2011, Saturday 1pm. St Kilda, Melbourne.

I am sitting on my apartment's balcony this morning, enjoying my 2nd weekend since moving to Melbourne. These two weeks have been an adventurous one; definitely have kicked off my 2011 in style.

I've been dying to mark some eventful adventures here every day (in case I get old one day and can't do all these things anymore). However, I just haven't found an easy way for Blogger yet. I mean these days, everyone is with her iPhone more often than laptop. So turned out I just do wall post here there on Facebook, not like I would prefer so tho.

If anyone knows a good app for Blogger. Let me know. Gracias!

P.S. I started my first Spanish lesson this morning - taking my 2011 resolution in action:)

New Year Resolution. 2011.

First Sunday Morning of 2011.
It's a little chilly, but I like to enjoy this fresh morning downstairs at the patio. It is still early, Civic Square becomes all mine... peaceful and quiet.

Got my new year resolution drafted. This year it has to be fun and big!
