Winter Body Lust

This entry is again dedicated to my girl friends. <3

You know holiday season is around the corner when you find yourself randomly humming Christmas carols at work - yes, that's me! :)

Thanksgiving + Christmas + New Year
= Lots of lots of food and wine + Crazy Shopping + Even more friends and family gatherings
= Double/ triple calories and no exercise + Seasonal financial crisis + more social (i.e. more food and alcohol) + Stress

The same equation repeats every year.
Peppermint Mocha and Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Muffin - Who can resist these holiday babies??
But this winter, I found a series of nice indigenous solutions to make my Holiday sweet treats a little less sinful:)

It all started on Thanksgiving day. I've been struggling to find a zen, relaxing but not pushing body treatment place in Hong Kong; on this very special day, thanks to Winda's recommendation, I started a  treatment course at INGRID MILLET Paris, spent my Thanksgiving afternoon here with a 3 hr body treatment + deep cleansing and collagen facial.... It was simply refreshing and heavenly!

Black Friday. I was back for a firming treatment. This is absolutely addicting. And I must say, out of all facial places I have tried, Ingrid Millet so far gives me the one of fastest and most satisfying results.
Staffs are nice too. Would highly recommend to friends.
This is me right after facial. No makeup.

Saturday. While waiting for parents, I went into mom's spa place for another detoxifying massage and eye treatment. That one hurt a little... plus, there was some awkward moment too. Anyhow, I felt light and healthy again.

Saturday afternoon. right after massage and eye treatment
Got another Spa date this weekend. This one is in Repulse Bay. Will recommend if I like it.

Now Beauty sleep time. Night night, world.

xoxo,
J

Guys and their tight pants

Asia must be the new fashion playground.

If you take the MTR in any given weekdays, you’ll see lots of eyecatching people here in Hong Kong.

First of all, I must say Hong Kong is a rather fashionable city. You see working girls wearing the most fashion-forward dresses and walking towards the terminal like they are rocking the runway.

What really catch my eyes were the gentlemen...and their tightest pants!! Whether they’re dress pants or jeans, guys here like to wear it tight. Keyword: tight, not fit. They are tight to the point that you can see the shape of the whole lower body. Okay, I do appreciate Johnny Deep’s and David Beckham’s fit dress pants (I mean they are hot!) but not legs-hugging jeans!! That just makes me wonder “does it hurt to walk?”

Besides tight pants, you’ll also see guys wearing highlighter pink shoes, carrying whiteboard-sized designers’ bags, and wearing the darkest eyeglasses indoor. Very fashion-forward, isn’t it?

Must give props to gentlemen here, for how daring and creative they are. Now I am very curious what’s the next trend gonna be.

Hong Kong Slim Diet Phenomenon

Sitting at a corporate social dinner atm. It's interesting to see with a choice of halibut, steak and linguini, 80% chose the fish. In my head I was thinking if we were in the States, 100 percent would go for the steak, no doubt!

Americans are the true meateaters!!

Hong Kong. Hong Kong LOVE

Before I start to talk about Hong Kong, I should probably write about Shanghai, where I've stayed the first half of the year.. but you know it always takes time and effort to sit down and write sthg.

So time flies, before I manage to wrap up about Shanghai, I've already been in Hong Kong for exactly a month. Last night, I went out with the girls from Berkeley, like a mini-reunion thing.. gosh, good old time, it was fun, and that inspired me to get my butt up and at least write sthg bit by bit before my memory quickly say bye to me again.

But before I start, let me show you the backdrop of my writing scene atm:

Nice breeze, good amount of sun, breath taking view, JUST missing some ice cold margarita. but im 99% set for some Sunday writing ;) That's my love for Hong Kong.
