Brain Freeze

It's gotta be the craziest happened in my life. Spent 13 hours flying in the past 24 hours; circled half of china twice. It wasn't no fun at all im telling ya.


Wasted my precious time, and all I gained was an exhausted body and guilt. 


Conclusion? I need a secretary and a therapy. Life is Crazy.

Auf Wiedersehen, Mitbewohnerin.

Roomie is ending her internship in SH tomorrow, flying back to Germany right after.

Sad to see her go but I'm also very happy for her, coz she gotta get back to her fiance and start all her wedding planning work!!! I'm excited for her wedding next year~ =)

It's also time for me to pack. Off to Hong Kong on Wed. That also means that when I got back I will probably have a new roommate (yep - I'm quite unwilling to move to anywhere else now coz I reli love my cozy home sweet home too much <3 )

Nightmare

Despite the fact that I just told Mary I wouldn't have time to update until next week and work is only 1.5 hr away (it's 7:27am now, yes, I am up working on my bed), I wanna drop down some notes really quick about these two days... coz it's definitely not pleasant at all.

I got pick-pocketed on my way to Viv's place on Sunday night. My new Lumix got stolen. The most heart broken thing was I only backed up pictures til last Wed, so everything from Wed to Thursday are gone, including pics from our ladies night (Olivia got a hot Brazilian lap dance, Kenny's bad acting at work, and French dinning on Sat).

Things got from bad to worse afterwards. Pedestrian stopped and we called the police. USELESS! Not only that they weren't helpful at all. They were just playing around. Nightmare began when they took me to police office to make record. Everyone there wasn't doing anything. More interested in me than the camera itself. Took a f-ing hour to write the worst report ever. There're two page about where I am from, how old i am, where I live, what nationality I am, blah blah, and ONE SENTENCE about the camera and NOTHING about the pickpockets. WONDERFUL!

Finally left the hell, then I received calls from the police office every 5 minutes the whole night!! asking if they can come up to my place to make a copy of my passport! told them it was not with me, and I wasn't home, then he went if everyone was home, he could go up himself!!!!!

I even got call from them at 1am and 2 missed calls yesterday!

When is this gonna end?? Shanghai is a torture.

Blogger, i am back

Just a quick greeting before I started writing my new life in Shanghai in 2010. A couple things for quick note for what I've gone through so far:
1. Shanghai is "INTERESTING." - friends here know I almost abuse the use of this word now... very interesting, indeed.
2. I got sick the 3rd day here. SH was cold.
3. Suffered through the 1st week culture shock, parents and Timmy came visit for a weekend... moved into a lovely apartment with my lovely roommate, Franzika.. show u guys her pics later. Friends, u should come visit. It's cozy and nice. Best part is... it's only 2 blocks away from workplace! Work @ 9am, I left home @ 8:56am.
4. Lovely coworkers. Even chinese coworkers speak very good English. Impressive!
5. Frances and Brett. Frances and Brett. My best two friends in SH... esp, thanks for being the best foodie friends. Food in SH is YUM!
6. New Year Resolution in progress. Sign up for Phyiscal, the gym. Got a personal trainer, aka, coworker Kenny, the hardcore trainer. (my arms are still sore from training while writing now)
7. BIG EVENT: VPN SET UP!!!! finally back to regular internet life.
8. a few minutes later: Hard Drive died. No computer to use for 2 weeks.

1 Day before Shanghai

Nerves, Nerves, Nerves.

I had very weird dreams lately.

First, I found out I left my Mac home when I was half way to the airport.
Second, I tried to back up my car in my garage with the garage door NOT open. Broke the whole garage door and flew off the street, then my car kept going backward, hit millions cars and I couldn't stop. Break didn't work... my uncle next door tried to stop me but failed.

Second, I lost my luggage when I was waiting in that classic ridiculously messy line for United check in

Then, my hair went blond (not the pretty blond tho) with black highlight.. I wanna go hang myself.

Oh one more, I was about to do a photoshoot and this part was fun.

ok, back to errands and packing.

Finally my first Yelp review!!

Once again, I proved everyone that I am a walking goldfish. And to celebrate my realization of being a fattie, I finally start writing reviews on Yelp after having an account since last month.

I went to Cal Poly for my cousin William's graduation last weekend. I am sorry for William that it was raining the whole day. So what's better to do in a 4-hr each way ride and on a rainy day? WE ATE, non-stop!!

These were only part of the food we ate on Sat. I came back to SF on Sunday and ate MORE~!!! evil!

As a technology idiot as I am, I am amazed by a nice feature of Picasa today - Manual Crop. Okay, don't laugh yet! Picasa's manual crop actually senses the best angle of the picture for you. Just one click, my picture becomes so much more editorial. Wow, with technology these days, everyone can be an artist!
